Greetings to any new people brought in by my recent boom in activity. It's both happy and sad to say that I had to move away from the country I grew up to go to Japan to give me a job with normal work weeks, fixed pay and benefits. The stress of learning a new language in no way is as bad as dealing with a constantly tight wallet and feet so tired from 50-60 hours work weeks, it took a month for them to swell back down a shoe size.
That's not to say life is easy here. Teaching has its own struggles, but I'm not gonna focus on that boring stuff. I'm focusing on this other boring stuff!!
In the past I've had a few redbubble accounts. For different reasons. So this is nice to get a nice clean start!

I'm still uploading more and more older works as I go along. I know a fair few of people who watch me here love my old fan art like Adventure time and Hey Arnold. The sad thing those files were formatted poorly and in a lot of cases I'm no longer a fan of the out come. Ive outgrown them.
The reason I don't purge them from here, or even move them off my main page and store them, is mostly the few of people who I know still enjoy them. And that means a lot to me, even if I've outgrown them.
Keep an eye on this red bubble because it will be ( hopefully) updating as much as I update here!
Who knows... maybe I'll even design some exclusive stuff!!

Speaking of supporting me. If anyone is still reading this... I usually play around with the idea of a patrion mentally, but its not something I've ever fully committed too? Mostly because my life in the U.S. I hardly had time of my own. Commissions can be expensive so maybe if I can figure a reward system I'll hook up a patrion in the future? I'll also be changing commission prices soon. Cheaper and hopefully a simpler format to understand. I just gotta make the pages ><

Update- new Era

So! first off.
Thanks for all the B-day messages and junk. Its been odd with the time difference.
That's right! Time difference. I AM IN THE FUTURE! 14 hrs to be exact.
Its been ten days since I boarded I stepped off a plan and onto Japanese soil.
It's been crazy, and It's been hard to update and keep track of everything that has been going on, the first few days were so busy and jam packed full of things to do that once I got time to myself I just kinda chilled.
I have some things written down that have happened to me that I hope to make comics with, I originally wanted to make a video blog but I just think that might be too much work and a little odd if my students find it. I still might make fun learning videos but not right away.=_= comics will be hard enough.
As well as I have yet to do any written blogs mostly because its been crazy getting set up here and I have little time to sit down and right, re read, and make it sound less .... stupid? Idk I right weird and sometimes get in my own head which is no good. I don't think I've learned much yet beyond base reactions.
I've been having a crazy art block, maybe because I'm in a new mind set, or maybe because I'm trying to distract myself from the crushing pressure of living up to the Japanese expectations of being a teacher. Even just meeting my fellow teachers has me so worried that I've been avoiding it all together by just focusing on living. Being here has been so over whelming and I have yet to find myself a comfortable work arrangement. Sure I've got my computer all rigged up and I'm sketching like a demon but it's all shit. Though it usually is lol.
So that's the art update. I've been juggling projects with a focus on getting BSS going again. Just trying to have fun with it because all I wanna do is get to the crazy bits but I need good build for that. I'm also really not pleased with my lack of ability in a lot of basic areas so, yeah.
Anywho. Japan has been fun. If ya wanna see tons of dumb photos I've got an instagram. Pinkhitman. You can check out sketches and pics from my new surroundings

Hi All!
I have been contacted by my work and now know I will venturing out a district in Osaka Japan, on august 18th, to begin my training as an ALT! I'm over the moon about it! I've been dreaming about Japan for years and Osaka was my first choice for living.
I'm still working on where I will live and that kinda jive, my moms up for the weekend to sort through some of my things ( all of everything) One of the things I'm getting rid of is the manga I've been collecting for over 14 years! Refreshing. (( to be honest I now have the prospect of re-buying it all in Japanese. I'm selling some locally and whatever is left over is being donated to the art department of my old High School! To inspire a new generation.
I am still working on art, there are some long standing projects that need to be finished, as well as some old illustrations, and commissions. Once that is over I will open up commissions as well as print deals. Atm I am selling prints at my online store hannahmeltocomics.storenvy.com !!!
